I click on Ie and I get the box that asks what program I want to open the file with?Do I need to reboot?

I think if I can get those updates to install, I can get the programs to open as those updates are needed (10 of them are waiting). Would like to stop searching for fixes. Why why why? What I noticed that the computer is not responding sometimes to any of the programms or gets hanged half way. Report Franks- Feb 28, 2010 at 11:38 AM WOW thanks soooo much Em your method worked and all my programs are working again by one click thanks alot saved me big THANK YOU! We had a power outage. Most baffling, is when I rightmouse on My Computer and select Properties, nothing happens.
I believe that the machine began to be used before I had finished all my rebuilding/updating, so there are variables here that I can't put my finger on. However will not run any setup.exe files Sometimes you get a brief hour-glass but that's it Run Process Explorer to see what runs when setup.exe is run, and it does not try this first! Thank you very much, your a hero!
