When I lowered the refresh rate from 60Hz to 50Hz, the image kind of "zoomed in" but it also became perfectly clear like I would expect it to look. I searched around a bit before I made this thread and there was another person with windows 7 who had the same problem, however, his solution doesn't work for windows 8. I sized down to a custom 105% and everything seems to be ok now.
