The drive was showing up in BIOS when the error first occurred, but Windows installer could not see it. but windows cannot start and hard disk can't be detected. 🙁 Im afraid by using your solution, it will make all the data gone? I am not able to install Windows XP OS CD. After booting from the Windows XP setup CD the blue setup screen appears and goes the through the usual process of installing it’s drivers. But if it doesn't auto-detect the drive, it probably will not detect it manually, either. any other better ideas would be appreciated.
